Hunger and Thirst

Just this week I was (again!) reminded of the considerable difference in perspectives among us. As an example, the term “success” seems to have as many interpretations as there are people. Yet, notwithstanding a significant shift in recent years, success for many is still a result of “human doing” rather than “human-being”.

Similarly, we often use the words “hunger” and “thirst” to describe rather different needs. Many of us speak about our hunger for success, our thirst for knowledge. Yet, as we strive for self-actualization there are still millions who struggle for their very survival.

You and I can make a difference. . . and all it takes is the click of a mouse!

visit http//www.thehungersite.com.

This relative new site offers us an unusual and remarkably easy way to fight world hunger. If you simply visit the site and click the designated button, a hungry person somewhere in the world will receive a serving of food at no cost to you. The food is paid for by corporate sponsors who advertise on the site; and it's distributed by the United Nations World Food Program.

We’re allowed just one click a day… let’s see if we can make it each and every day!

And perhaps, in this small way, these 'human doings' will help us become ever more human beings.
